The community signed an agreement with the Center for Conservation, Research and Management of Natural Areas Cordillera Azul, as a way to consolidate the relationship and renew commitments and partnerships for 10 years.

Peru finalized one of the largest business transaction of carbon in its history. Investment fund decided to invest in carbon credits in three protected areas of Peru: the Tambopata National Reserve and Bahuaja-Sonene and Cordillera Azul National Parks.

The center will conduct river trips, jungle tours, wildlife watching and will show the management of natural resources that made residents of the communities located within the reserve and its buffer zone

In 2016, there is the opportunity for another major conservation victory in Peru: creation of Yaguas National Park. Yaguas received Reserved Zone status in 2011 and is now awaiting its final designation.
