Marked to Die

A special series with ten women profiles who are threatened with death for their struggle for land and forest in the Brazilian state of Pará, in conjunction with the newspaper Diário de Pará. According to the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT), South and Southeast of Pará concentrate most of the conflicts in the field. CPT reported earlier in the year a list with the names of 38 people at risk of death in South and Southeast of the Brazilian state, because of their struggle for land rights. Ten are women.
