PRODES (Programa de Cálculo do Desflorestamento da Amazônia) – annual deforestation monitoring is a service of the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) of the Brazilian Ministry for Science and Technology. Information is obtained from analysis of different scenes of high resolution satellites, such as Landsat , CBERS and the DMC Constelation.
